March 5 ~ Community Singing ~ Kira Seto (from Oregon)
April 2 ~ Dances for Peace ~ Grace
First Thursday of the month
6:00p-9:00p

We're super excited to bring Kira to Salt Lake from Oregon!
Yes, she's flying in just to sing with us all :)
Come revel in a joyful singing experience that celebrates the natural voice and weaves us together in community with Kira Seto of Voices Rising Community Choir.
All voices are welcome – seasoned and shy shower-singers alike. From soulful to silly, we’ll learn easy-to-pick-up songs, ranging from simple pocket tunes to rich polyphonic harmonies, all taught by ear in a matter of minutes.
Singing in community is our cultural birthright as humans. Beyond the joy it brings, it nourishes our wellbeing with a host of health benefits. This space is oriented around connection over perfection – welcoming mistakes and inviting us to sing simply for the pleasure of it. Through singing, together we create fertile soil for presence, play, healing, and collective resonance.
About KiraKira Seto (she/her) is a multiracial (white and Japanese) community songleader with a passion for weaving rich tapestries of sound through oral-tradition singing that is accessible to all. She brings a joyful, soulful presence to group singing, and believes deeply in its transformative power as a tool for empowerment, connection, and healing.
Since 2017, Kira has been leading a cappella group singing, and she currently directs Voices Rising Community Choir in Bend, Oregon, offering experiential singing that fosters interconnection, depth, and joy.
Kira is a student of Lisa Littlebird’s Songleader Flight School (2020) and a graduate of the Community Choir Leadership Training (2023). She has been a featured songleader at festivals around the country, including the Oregon Country Fair.

We are so grateful that such amazing humans show up to engage in time away from time.
We look forward to each gathering, to see people connect, be real, be open, care for themselves and each other, and often step into the unknown.

Let's engage in ritual time and community time.
