Indoors & OutsideWe will spend most of our time together indoors (cacao ceremony, dancing, intention setting), and we’re flexible with where we hold the song circle (inside or by the fire). You are more than welcome to spend time by the fire outside or be inside whenever you like. Essentially, we invite you to engage in what we are offering, but also, we trust you will do what’s best for you or what you feel called to.
About our FireWe’ll be using a solo stove which double burns, meaning it produces little to no smoke.
KidsKids are welcome to attend. However, we don't have childcare scheduled for New Year's eve, but parents can self organize and rotate who hangs with the kiddos in a separate space, if they are not wanting to participate in the New Year's Eve experience.
Release & Renewal Ritual facilitated by Malarie ReddoorWe will begin with a gentle release ritual, inviting participants to reflect on what they are ready to let go of as we close this chapter of the year.

Whatever is ready to be released will be written onto prayer ties and lovingly offered to the fire, allowing the flames to hold, transform, and transmute the energy with care and intention.

Following the release, we will move into a creative intention-setting practice.
Together, we’ll craft snowflakes and infuse them with our hopes, prayers, and intentions for the year ahead.

These snowflakes will serve as a tangible reminder of what we are calling in, something you can keep with you as you step into the new year

Indoor Forest Bathing

with Rachel Hodge

Indoor Forest Bathing is a gentle, sensory‑rich adaptation of the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, inviting you to slow down, soften your senses, and reconnect with the grounding presence of nature from within a warm indoor sanctuary.

Through natural scents, soft lighting, and guided invitations, you’re invited to experience deep relaxation, insight, and connection during the darker months. While not a treatment for seasonal depression, this nature‑inspired ritual can support emotional well‑being by offering calm, steadiness, and a felt sense of belonging in winter’s quieter season.

Rachel is a certified Forest Bathing Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and a Clinical Social Worker at Wild Sunflower Counseling. As the founder of Suni-ai Forest Bathing, she combines her passion for mental health and nature to create meaningful experiences that promote well-being and connection. Deep listening (or Suni-ai) is a state of being we seldom practice with the relentless pace of this world, yet Rachel's work encourages participants to embrace this practice through slowing down, engaging their senses, and finding solace in the beauty of the natural world.

Please bring:* A personal plant item (ex: house plant, crystal, or leaf) that holds special meaning for you.
* A cushion or low chair to sit on
* A water bottle and/or mug if you’d like some tea

Dirt Church Gratitude

What a beautiful time we're having gathering monthly, in our cozy and eclectic cottage!

We are so grateful that such amazing humans show up to engage in time away from time.

We look forward to each gathering, to see people connect, be real, be open, care for themselves and each other, and often step into the unknown.
